In the first quarter of 2020, Phonak launched a new hearing aid product that provides powerful, rich sound to those with severe to profound hearing loss. Phonak Sky M-SP is a fully-connected, behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid that combines breakthrough Marvel hearing technology with the styling and colours that appeal to the paediatric market.
Phonak briefed Angle to design and produce new product launch packs to inform New Zealand audiologists. About 100 clinicians working with children received the launch packs. They contained custom designed B2B communications explaining the benefits and features of this exciting new product as well as an official Phonak dummy product to familiarise themselves with.
The striking ‘pillow pack’ was constructed from die-cut and printed white card. The design aimed to create a positive first impression of power and connectivity.
One side of the pack bears the words ‘Power’ and ‘Connectivity’ in interlocking coloured circles, using colours from the product range. A product photo in the same colours, sits in the middle of the two circles
A large product name and 8 coloured icons on the other side of the pack communicate just how connected this product is.
Everything about Sky M-SP is designed with children in mind. These hearing aids connect directly to smartphones and other Bluetooth® enabled devices, enabling children to easily enjoy speech, music, TV and much more. The child-specific design is tamperproof, providing comfort, safety and robustness in all aspects of a child’s active life.
Sky Marvel is available in a variety of colors ranging from fun and vibrant to discreet skin-tone shades. Children can choose a combination of colors that truly matches their personality, giving them confidence to embrace and enjoy wearing their hearing aids.
The physical launch pack contains a cover letter, a B2B product summary brochure, a product dummy and a B2B2C brochure. A coffee gift card, also in the pack, includes a URL and login details, providing all recipients with access to Phonak’s ‘Virtual Launch Pack’. This website contains more detailed product information, soft copy product Quick Guides, Digital order forms and and a few simple product questions to be answered in order to receive some Toasted Espresso coffee.
Angle designed all the launch items and coordinated the production and print management of everything including:
• Custom die-cut pillow packs
• Cover letters
